The Power of Gaming project is a social change project currently hosted by Maldon and District CVS.
Gaming has the power to bring people together through a shared interest and by doing that can impact positively on participant’s mental and physical wellbeing.
Power of Gaming host fortnightly as well holiday club sessions. For these sessions to run smoothly, they need several volunteers for various roles to help support them.
Volunteers are needed to help at holiday clubs for children aged 10+. The MDCVS project Power of Gaming runs holiday clubs during school holidays and half terms as part of the Essex ActivAte programme. Volunteers are needed to interact with the young people, including helping to set up sessions and making the young people feel welcome. Click here for more details.
If you have a passion for gaming and a knowledge of different consoles and games this is the role for you. Volunteers will help to set up sessions and support participants, often young people, to choose games, play together and gain confidence. Click here for more details.
Volunteers are needed to help prepare, serve, and clear away a meal and refreshments at sessions and to interact with young people to ensure they are having fun. Click here for more details.
