Maldon and District CVS can provide support to local community groups and networks in a range of ways.
In order to obtain funding for vital services it is necessary to provide evidence of both need and impact to commissioners and funding organisations.
MDCVS can offer advice, information and guidance on existing research tools, methods, analysis and any practical aspects of your existing monitoring and evaluation process with the aim of refining your data collection tools and methods, making the most of your research results and report writing.
Access research advice for as few or as many hours as you feel is required for your project.
From research design, data collection processes such as facilitating focus groups and undertaking case studies, to analysis and report writing. This bespoke service would be tailored to your organisational requirements. With input from and development opportunities for your staff team built in as required.
Bespoke courses in both quantitative and qualitative research methods such as questionnaire design and analysis or running focus groups to your staff so that they feel confident in carrying out monitoring and evaluation themselves.
MDCVS staff can work with you to identify the key objectives and challenges to be addressed during a focused stakeholder away day. If required this can be facilitated by a member of our team who will act as impartial mediator of meaningful discussion. Support will include developing an agenda and any prereading or work that needs to be carried out to inform the days conversations and a debriefing summary to include recommendations and next steps.
Maldon and District CVSs primary purpose is to support the voluntary sector across the Maldon District. We offer a range of support to local sector leaders, trustees and volunteers. This includes advising on funding, governance and set up as well as disseminating information and acting as the voice of the local sector at strategic meetings and boards. These services are free to members but can be accessed by non-members for a consultancy fee.

We will work with you to design a service that will fit within your budget. This can be a combination of bespoke work undertaken on your behalf and providing tools and mentoring to your staff team.
As a guide consultancy services are worked out at a hourly rate of £40 per hour (£30 for Essex CVS members)
