Digital Buddies

Maldon and District CVS are looking for volunteer Digital Buddies in Burnham. 

Digital Buddies will help people to get online and increase confidence in their digital skills through one-to-one support to adults. Each individual will be supported to identify what that want to learn, from help with basic digital skills to staying safe online, connecting with people and services, helping to searching the internet, downloading apps, video calling or just basics on navigating around a smart phone or tablet.

This will be weekly support groups for anyone in the area who needs some digital support.

This is an exciting and rewarding role that helps people to experience the many benefits of the internet and digital technology and feel more confident online.

Digital buddies will be given training on being a Digital Tutor and have access to a range of online resources to help people with their learning.

What skills do I need?

No qualifications are needed but Digital Buddies should have a good level of computer skills and knowledge, patience, an enthusiasm for helping others and a positive attitude.
