The Lunch Club@ Plantation Hall is a planned weekly lunch club for mainly older people who are socially isolated. Run in partnership by Maldon and District CVS and Heybridge Parish Council, they are looking for volunteers who can help out at their club sessions.
The club provides social interaction, a cooked 2 course meal and activities for its guests.
Volunteer Hosts are needed to help out at the club by interacting with club members, running activities and helping out with lunch and refreshments.
The club takes place every Thursday 10am-2.30pm at the Plantation Hall in Heybridge.
No specific skills are required for this role. There is no manual handling or personal care involved. You need to be out-going and friendly and happy to undertake a number of different roles during the session from calling bingo to serving food.
Additional training is available on request such as First Aid, dementia awareness etc
