Micro Volunteer (General)

As part of our Micro Volunteering offer, general support volunteers are needed for various one-off or irregular activities/tasks throughout the year at M&DCVS.

Micro volunteering is ideal for those who aren’t able to commit to regular volunteering.

Requests could include, but are not limited to the following - 

• Supporting to build flat pack furniture. 
• Accompanying people to appointments if they are feeling anxious or not confidant (Please note you would not be required to sit in on their appointments).   
• Picking up and dropping of food parcels. 
• Supporting at one-off CVS events throughout the year. 
• Helping with one off gardening assistance for elderly or disabled residents.
• Shopping for residents that are unable to themselves. 

You will be added to a secure database of volunteers which allows M&DCVS to email tasks for you to accept or decline based on suitability or your availability. Please note: an active email address will be needed for this. 

What skills do I need?

There are no specific skills required for this role, but an Interest in supporting your local community, being friendly and a willingness to help others are essential.   

If you wish to support with any tasks that require driving, you will need to be confident and responsible while driving. Some lifting may be required. 

You will need a full, clean driving license with no unspent convictions; access to your own vehicle and the appropriate motor insurance. Any penalty points will be considered on an individual basis.
