DSBT are looking for a Treasurer to join the team either as a Trustee and/or on the Management Team.
You will be responsible for overseeing the Trust financial legal compliance and providing financial advice to the Board. Key duties include monitoring financial health, reporting to the board, preparing annual accounts, and managing assets/investments.
- Financial Oversight: Ensuring proper financial records, controls, and procedures are in place.
- Reporting: Presenting regular financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to the board to aid strategic decision-making.
- Compliance: Ensuring the charity complies with charity law, tax requirements (e.g., filing Form 990), and relevant regulations.
- Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing financial policies, such as reserves and investment policies.
- Audit Management: Leading the process for independent examination or auditing of accounts.
- Operational Role: this will include day-to-day bookkeeping, banking, and payroll verification.
