Maldon District Council (MDC) have recently undertaken works to improve the accessibility, usability, sustainability and comfort of the amphitheatre in Promenade Park. Following these works they are keen for the amphitheatre to become a community asset as a performance space and outdoor venue for community groups to use free of charge.
Maldon & District CVS have been appointed community partner to manage the bookings. The intention is for a light touch approach that will be easy for groups to use but will ensure that relevant checks such as risk assessments, confirmation of insurance and acceptance of Terms and Conditions are undertaken.
The amphitheatre can be booked day time hours Monday to Friday* and is free of charge. Click on the button below to request your booking.
Group and individual bookings will need insurance, event risk assessments and appropriate safeguarding in place.
