How you can support us

Donate

Maldon and District CVS, a cornerstone of community support and voluntary sector advocacy since its establishment in 2001, is at risk of closure due to the loss of long-standing funding from Essex County Council.

For over two decades, Maldon and District CVS has been instrumental in providing crucial services to hundreds of charities. In the past twelve months over 380 hours of free consultancy support was provided to the local sector and support given to over 200 residents living throughout the district of Maldon via the charity’s projects.

Essex County Council is now withdrawing vital funding for local charities, including £53,000 for Maldon and District CVS, as it moves instead to a countywide model for providing charity support services.

Maldon and District CVS is a registered charity at the heart of the local community. Any donation received will help us to continue to support communities across Maldon District to grow and thrive for the benefit of all.

Trustees

Maldon and District CVS is managed by a board of trustees who give their time voluntarily to govern the charities activities and management and provide support to the staff team.

There are currently nine trustees on the board with a range of skills and interests ranging from relevant professional experience to local knowledge and voluntary sector involvement. Our governing document allows for a maximum of twelve and new applications are always welcomed

Potential Trustees will be asked to attend an informal interview and supply two references. You will also be invited to attend a taster board meeting to meet the board and ask questions.

If you are interested in joining the Trustee board you can complete the below application form or contact MDCVS District Sarah Troop on 01621 732251 or sarah@maldoncvs.org.uk.
