Maldon & District CVS would love you to join us for a relaxed, informative event exploring Neighbourhood Health and what it could mean for local community groups, charities, creative organisations, and heritage spaces across the Maldon District.
Friday 13th March
11:30am-2pm
Maldon and Tiptree Football Club
Why are we bringing people together?
Big changes are happening in the NHS and Public Health systems, and there will be a much stronger focus on prevention, community connections, creativity, and local neighbourhoods. We want to make sure the voice of community groups and local volunteers working in the heritage, creative and cultural space are part of this conversation from the very start.
This event is a chance to understand how that contribution fits into the wider NHS 10-Year Plan, and how your group might benefit from future opportunities.
What to expect:
- A clear, easy-to-understand overview of what “Neighbourhood Health” means
- Updates on changes in the NHS and Public Health systems, including Integrated Care Boards
- Insights into the development of Neighbourhood Health Plans
- A look at the growing role of creative health—arts, culture, nature, heritage, and community participation
- Space for you to share what’s happening in your group, ask questions, and shape early conversations
We’re working with Cultural Engine CIC, who are developing the Maldon District Cultural & Heritage Strategy, so the event will also help us build up a picture of the amazing creative, cultural, and community work already happening locally.
This is the first event of its kind in Maldon, and we really want local groups of all sizes to be part of it. Your insights and experience will help shape future opportunities, partnerships, and health-focused community work in the District.
FREE to attend and refreshments provided.
