Who can apply
Maldon and District Community Voluntary Services (MDCVS) offer a tiered membership. The 3 membership levels are:
- Full membership – open to any Essex based VCSE sector organisation e.g. a registered charity, community group or non-for-profit organisation that works for the benefit of Essex residents
- Affiliate membership – open to organisations not eligible for full membership e.g. a parish, town or district council, NHS organisations etc.
- Supporter membership – open to individuals
Registration Process
In order to become a full member we ask you to complete our online MDCVS Membership Registration Form. Please contact us if you require a hardcopy posted to you.
This form will then be submitted to our Board of Trustees for approval at the next board meeting. These are held every 2 months. Once approved you will be a member and receive a membership certificate and welcome pack outlining our services. Your details will be stored on our database in accordance with our Privacy Policy and current data protection legislation.

Membership Costs
Affiliate membership is free.
Supporter membership is subject to a £25 annual fee.
Full membership of MDCVS is subject to an annual fee. You will be invoiced for your membership fee once your application has been approved by the Board of Trustees.
Charges are levied on a sliding scale based on your organisation’s previous year’s accounts:
| Micro | Annual income of<£10,000 and/or no paid staff | £15 |
| Small | Annual income between £10,000 – £100,000 with paid staff | £25 |
| Medium | Annual income between £100,000 – £1 million | £38 |
| Large | Annual income >£1 million | £50 |
Renewal
We will contact you on an annual basis every April / May requesting that you confirm or update your or your organisation’s details and pay your membership fee (where applicable) in order to renew your membership. We will also ask you to complete a survey, detailing your satisfaction with our support and suggest any additional support services.
