Various tasks are needed to support our Foodshare project.
Sorters:
Our sorters make sure that the produce we receive is kept in the best possible condition until it is distributed the following day at our Food shares. They work in the evening at our Stansted hub, typically 8.30 -10pm, where they receive and sort the produce collected by our drivers. The food is sorted into fridges, freezers and crates for distribution the following day.
Table Manning:
These volunteers layout food, welcome and chat to members of our community who attend, hand out food and tidy away afterwards. We hold Food shares in:
Tuesday: Elsenham Memorial Hall, off Leigh Drive, CM22 6BY 12.15-1pm
Wednesday: Stansted Social Club, Lower Street, CM24 8LP, 2.30-3.15pm

Volunteer Opportunity, evenings at home for TouchPoint Foodshare (one week in four)
As part of our Foodshare support team we have volunteers who monitor what donations are available from the supermarkets using an App. They then notify our drivers when there is a collection to be had. This is done most evenings about 7pm.
