Dunmow Dementia Café Volunteer

Would you like to make a real difference in your local community?

Our Dementia Café is looking for friendly, caring and enthusiastic volunteers to help create a welcoming and supportive space for people living with dementia, their families and carers.

What could you help with?

• Welcoming guests and helping them feel at home
• Making tea, coffee and refreshments
• Supporting activities, games, music and conversation
• Chatting with guests and offering a friendly face
• Helping with setting up and tidying away

There are occasional group outings to public venues e.g. gardens, historic houses etc., and the volunteers accompany the group members on the trips.

This is a regular group meeting every Monday between 10 a.m. and 12.00 p.m. (except Bank Holidays) at the Rowena Davey Centre.

What skills do I need?
