Event Support Volunteer

Riverside Community are providing funding to help launch a new event in Grays.

The event will include:

· Grays 10k Challenge - run/walk challenge

· a 3k Fun Run, and

· a number of craft and food stalls

The event will take place on Sunday, 7th September 2025 on Kilverts Field, Grays, RM17 6JT.

The event is a 10K run/walk challenge (joggers and walkers are being encouraged to take part), and it will commence at 10.00am. Registration will be open at 8.30am.

The challenge will start and finish at Kilverts Field, Grays, and will follow a route on the pavements of Grays. The route will be clearly signposted for both the participants and drivers (i.e., caution signs).

The 3k fun run will take place on the Beach Wall and start and finish on Kilverts Field.

The stalls will be based on Kilverts Field.

Volunteers are needed in order to assist with:

· marshaling the course, especially road crossings;

· to help with the event on Kilverts Field;

· to assist the water station at the 5K point;

· to help clear the litter on Kilverts Field at the end (aim to finish about 1.00pm)

First aiders have been booked and will support the event.
