Role
We have several monthly activities, including Slow Stitching, Sunrise Dips and Beach Hut Days.
Slow stitching is a relaxing, stitching and embroidery session designed to promote self-care and mindfulness by stitching personal and meaningful messages onto squares of fabric.
Sunrise Dips are cold water sessions in the sea followed by hot drinks and a hot breakfast.
At these events, be a friendly face that makes everyone feel welcome and know that they belong: welcome people, help people calm their nerves, notice who looks isolated from the group and help them feel part of the community Event role requirements: Welcome arrivals Notice first-timers and help to spread the Blossome ethos Offer refreshments Connect new people to others in the community so they feel supported Time Boundaries
2–3 hrs per session, could be daytime or evenings. On an ad hoc basis, you choose your shifts, no minimum hours required.
No touch or physical contact; You are not a facilitator or a therapist; If you have a safeguarding issue or concern, use the escalation flow, don\'t try to deal with it by yourself.

Blossome is a compassionate self-care community for adults affected by someone else\'s drinking, drug use, gambling or addiction. Through welcoming online and in-person groups, programmes and activities, community members can find understanding and emotional support while learning practical ways to care for their own wellbeing through self-care and self-compassion.
