Centre Coordinator

At Marriage Care Chelmsford we specialise in helping couples build strong, fulfilling, healthy relationships - and provide support in times of difficulty.

We’re looking for a Centre Coordinator to lead a small, friendly team of volunteers who are trained to help prepare couples making their wedding vows and also provide counselling services should a relationship run into difficulties.

The Role

· Lead and motivate centre members

· Recruit and help select centre volunteers when necessary

· Chair the centre’s quarterly meetings

· Lead the centre planning and budgeting processes

· Generally, raise awareness of Marriage Care in the local area

What skills do I need?

Essential

· Managing and leading a team

· The ability to communicate effectively

· Proactive and self-motivated

· IT literate

Desirable

· Experience in recruitment and conducting interviews

· A knowledge of basic planning and budgeting processes

The role involves between 2 and 4 hours per week; attendance at the Annual Conference and the 2 x Head of Centre half-days is strongly encouraged.

Travel and out-of-pocket expenses will be paid.
