Would you be interested in volunteering at the Gardens of Easton Lodge?
We are a happy and friendly group of volunteers who volunteer to maintain, restore and enhance these Historic England Grade II registered gardens near Great Dunmow.
Our regular day volunteering in the Gardens is Thursday when we have 25-30 volunteers working across the Gardens on all aspects of gardening: from digging and planting, to weeding, cutting back, pruning, dead heading, composting and garden maintenance jobs.
Smaller groups also come in on Mondays, Wednesdays and some Saturdays.
In addition to working in the Gardens, we have volunteers who take on a range of other roles such as helping on Open Days to serve refreshments or run Kids’ Craft Activities; taking on building or machinery maintenance; offering garden tours for visitors; undertaking admin tasks etc.
The Gardens are the responsibility of a charity called the Gardens of Easton Lodge Preservation Trust. All funds raised by the Trust are used to maintain, restore and enhance the Gardens.
Any skills appreciated, but mainly enthusiasm and a sense of humour.
