The Age Well East home visiting befriending service offers a Befriender to regularly visit a lonely and isolated client in their home for conversation & company. The volunteer will be matched with the same client to encourage a social connection.
Age Well East provides full training and a nominated Friendship Coordinator to support them throughout their volunteering journey. Training will include Safeguarding, Lone Worker and GDPR, and certificates will be issued on completion.
Volunteers must be happy to provide 2 x character references and have an enhanced DBS check (paid for and arranged by Age Well East).
We are looking for support across all of Thurrock and are happy to discuss how you can support us with our vital work in the community.
