Our vision for One Community is to support a healthy, sustainable and prosperous community for all.

Our core objectives are:

  • To develop the skills and capacity of local people
  • To work in partnership with others to promote community well being
  • To manage and source affordable  and accessible community facilities 
  • To create a sustainable community anchor organisation 

We are looking for volunteer peer mentors to support us in our tasks within the community.  In the role as a volunteer peer mentor you will support others by offering guidance and support through challenges and every day life.

You will help others improve their self esteem and increase their confidence which will lead to them being able to enhancing their own skills.

A peer mentor is able to build a collaborative relationship with those they are working with and support the organisation in developing a community of development and improvement.

Peer mentoring can occur on a one to one basis or in groups

We have a Volunteer Investment Program (VIP) which we offer to all volunteers, this can support with discovering your skill sent and future employment opportunities. 



What skills do I need?

We are looking for volunteers from the local community who are inline with our mission status of improving the community for the community

We will support potential volunteers in finding the right volunteer roles for them
