Role Purpose
To support the safe, smooth, and successful delivery of Community RunFest by assisting with event operations and ensuring all participants have a positive and enjoyable experience.
Key Responsibilities
Volunteers may be asked to support in one or more of the following areas:
· Acting as a route marshal, guiding runners and ensuring safety along the course
· Providing encouragement and support to participants throughout the event
· Helping to manage crowds and general event flow
· Reporting any concerns, incidents, or hazards to the event team
Support Provided
· Full briefing and guidance on the day
· Clear role allocation and point of contact
· Refreshments (£10 voucher to spend at designated food vendor)
· A rewarding opportunity to support the local community and be part of a positive event
Skills & Qualities
· Friendly, approachable, and positive attitude
· Good communication skills
· Reliable and punctual
· Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
· Enthusiastic about supporting community events
Requirements
· Attend a short pre-event briefing
· Be available for the agreed time slot on event day
· Wear appropriate clothing/footwear for outdoor conditions
· Follow all health and safety guidance
