DIY and Handyman Community Garden

We are a new residents association based in the Tendring District Council sheltered housing at Groom House.   We have a large garden area which has fallen into disrepair and are steadily clearing the area, so it can be planted and made a relaxing space for the residents.

This will be a place where disabled and elderly people who live there to be able to go in the garden and grow things easily and are looking for able bodied people who would like to help us get this set up.

At the moment we are trying to put in a shed base and build a shed but residents in a wheelchair another is 82 and another has back problem, but we do our best.  Also we need a path made for a wheelchair access to get into the garden to the sensory garden we hope to make.

What skills do I need?

• Some DIY skills would be useful
