Trustee

Accuro is a small charity that supports people with a disability in West Essex.  We are looking for a new trustee to join out board and help us make a difference in the lives of people with a disability, their families and carers in the community.

As a trustee, you will be responsible for helping to set the charity’s strategic direction, overseeing our finances and ensuring we comply with all relevant legislation.  We have a fantastic, long-standing and supportive team of Trustees who are now looking to enhance their extensive skill set.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting people with a disability and would welcome someone with experience in fundraising, marketing and/or communications.

The time commitment is a few hours every other month to attend an evening meeting and some time prior to this to read the papers.  In this role you will gain valuable experience in charity governance and management and develop your skills and knowledge.

You do not need to have been a Trustee before as this role and the rest of the Trustee team can help you develop additional skills.

What skills do I need?

Good communication and interpersonal skills and enjoy networking and making connections

Ability to think strategically, be diplomatic and open to new ideas.

Our head office is in Saffron Walden and we provide services in Epping Forest, Harlow and Uttlesford so, ideally, the successful candidate will be based in West Essex or East Herts although meetings can be attended on-line.
