Trailnet is an Essex based community interest company dedicated to helping people of all ages and abilities take part in outdoor physical activity. Many of these activities take place at our cycle centre in Thorndon Country Park where we offer low-cost cycle hire and regular social rides for those that enjoy cycling as a means of improving their health and fitness.
Our award-winning ReSpoke project refurbishes donated, used bikes for use by the local community and are looking to significantly expand our pool of volunteers to help us process these bikes. We are therefore seeking practical-minded people with some experience of bike mechanics to join our friendly, enthusiastic team.
Parking permits and refreshments will be provided.
Knowledge/experience of bicycle mechanics or a similar technical background would be helpful, but we have tasks for all skill levels and will provide any training you require. For those with administrative interests, the project also needs help with tracking and co-ordination, so please get in touch if this appeals to you
