Phoenix Futures services in Essex:

· Futures Together – Criminal Justice and Social inclusion teams.

· Essex Liaison and Diversion Service. · Specialist Community Forensic Team (SCFT).

· Drug and Alcohol Street Support (DASS).

· Phoenix Housing and Supported Tenancy (HoSTs).

· Enhanced Support and Access Team (ESAT).

· Vulnerable Adults Service (VAS).

Purpose of the Role

· To support with the delivery of services to individuals

· To support with facilitating of group activity sessions

· To provide support and encouragement to people accessing community services and activities.

· To use your experience and knowledge to help design and co-produce new services, activities and

support new initiatives.

· To offer one-to-one mentoring (where appropriate) to service users who have been referred for

support

Requirements of the Role

· To attend a 6-day Volunteer training course provided by Phoenix, (travel costs reimbursed.

Training usually runs in Colchester and Chelmsford) to gain the skills and knowledge required of

the role.

· To be willing to undertake ongoing training and continue your professional development.

· To regularly attend monthly volunteer meetings.

· To complete a monthly supervision with your volunteer lead.

· To be involved in wider Phoenix Futures activities where possible

· To be prepared to support multiple and complex needs service users.

· To treat service users with respect and offer support and signposting in an open and non-judgemental manner.

· To respect the confidentiality of service user data and what is shared within services.

· To uphold professional boundaries and standards

 · To report any concerns or safeguarding issues to the relevant people, managers, or organisations.

· To be mindful of your own wellbeing and discuss any concerns with your volunteer lead so that Phoenix Futures are better able to support you.
