Vulcan Restoration Trust runs public events on specific days during the year and its Vulcan Events Volunteers help ensure these run smoothly and safely, as well as helping provide a high-quality experience for the Trust’s visitors. Vulcan Events Volunteers perform a wide range of duties including, but not limited to:
· Engaging with visitors face-to-face and answering general questions and queries.
· Serving visitors on the Trust’s retail stand.
· Checking-in and welcoming visitors on arrival.
· Engaging with exhibitors at events and dealing with any questions or problems they may have.
· Showing individuals and groups of visitors around Vulcan XL426 and the Trust’s engineering facilities.
· Car park marshalling.
· Helping set-up and break-down before and after events.
· Providing administrative support relating to events.

Please click on the "Register my interest" button at the top of this page to make an enquiry through Volunteer Essex.
· Ability to mix with and chat with members of the public with confidence on general matters and matters relating to the Vulcan aircraft (an interest in aviation will be an advantage, but isn’t compulsory, and full training will be given regarding the history of the Vulcan and its role with the Royal Air Force).
· Organisational skills.
· Practical approach to problem solving.
· Retail experience – helpful, but not essential as training will be given.
