Register your interestMaldon & District CVS are looking to expand our provision of Walks for Wellbeing across the district and are looking for keen individuals to support with leading these walks.
There are many benefits to walking including both physical and mental health benefits. For example, regular walking can:
This role will be both a supportive and encouraging role, as we want to ensure everyone feels happy and confident to take part, whatever their walking abilities or experiences.
All volunteers will be supported and offered training, but you would also be expected to manage the walks independently, once you feel confident to do so.
We are looking to expand our walks across Maldon, Tollesbury and the Dengie area.
walks are very gentle and range between 1 and 2 miles. All ages and animals are welcome.
You will need to have a moderate general fitness level as well as being kind and friendly.
Being a good communicator and listener is ideal and you will need to treat everyone with respect and be non-judgemental at all times
You will be good at time keeping and have good organisational skills.

These are new walks, so we can work with you to find a suitable day/time to deliver these sessions. All Walks would be run during the daytime.
