One Maldon District creates Winter Services Community Guide to support residents

One Maldon District, a senior level partnership comprising of local statutory, voluntary and private sector organisations have created a Winter Services Community Guide to support residents this winter.

The community guide provides key information and support on health and wellbeing, energy saving tips, financial support and community groups that can help residents in the Maldon District.

Jane Gardner, Chair of One Maldon District and Essex Deputy Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner, said; “We are living in difficult times, where the price of energy, food and bills are rising rapidly.

We, as One Maldon District, have worked with a host of local community organisations to produce the Winter Services Community Guide which provides lots of advice and guidance on support that is available in the Maldon District, we hope you find this useful.”

Sarah Troop, Director of Maldon and District Community Voluntary Service, said; “There is a lot of worry in the community at the moment about the cost of living, but equally there are many groups working to provide support, advice and guidance. It is vital that we make it easy to find information so everyone who needs help can find it.”

Cllr Penny Channer, Leader of Maldon District Council, said; “I am delighted that the Council has been able to support the One Maldon District partnership with the production on this Winter Services Community guide which I hope will help our residents at this difficult time.”

In addition to the Winter Services Community Guide, a leaflet has been created to help signpost residents to different resources, groups and organisations that can help this winter.

Both the Winter Services Community Guide and leaflet is available as a physical copy and digital resource. In the coming weeks, a district-wide map will be live on www.maldon.gov.uk which will indicate further support available across the district.
