Workshop Role.
Would you like to help people and join a happy team of volunteers?
We loan wheelchairs to people with anything from a broken ankle or elderly visiting relative to end of life care. We cover the whole of the CO postcode area and we are currently based at Clacton Hospital alongside the North East Essex Wheelchair Service. All our wheelchairs are lightweight and fold to fit in a car. We ask for a small deposit which is refundable if the wheelchair is returned within 3 months in the same condition as when it went out. We'd like to expand our team of volunteers to enable us to open 5 mornings per week.
The workshop is where we service and repair wheelchairs. This requires technical skill and attention to detail to ensure wheelchairs are always in safe working order. Our Volunteers are given full training.

Volunteers need to be able to work a minimum of one morning per week.
