Community Fundraising Volunteer

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic volunteer to help raise money and awareness of SNAP. You will be responsible for developing relationships with local businesses, encouraging them to take a collection pot, keep our charity in mind for their own events and activities, and keep them up to date and excited about supporting SNAP. 

What skills do I need?

Key Tasks:

• collect replacement pots
• swap pots with local venues, recording donations, issuing receipts and returning pots to the Fundraising team at The SNAP Centre.
• share SNAP News and distribute SNAP Matters Magazines
• visit local GP surgeries to improve local awareness of SNAP, ensuring information about SNAP's services is posted on community cork boards, the surgery staff is aware of SNAP and SNAP Matters magazines are available in waiting areas
• identify potential new locations for donation pots
• support Fundraising Team with collection pot plans and keep the team informed of local news and/or information about local businesses
• build and maintain relationships within you local communality in aid of SNAP

Skills and personal qualities you will need:

• access to vehicle
• happy to be on your feet for extended periods
• must be ages 16 or over and have photo ID
• be polite and have good communication skills
• accept rejection and don't take it personally
• be reliable, committed and trustworthy
