General Support Volunteer

Join our warm and welcoming Ageing Wellbeing & Dementia Club in Tilbury, Essex and make a real difference! We're looking got friendly, caring volunteers to bring joy, laughter, and companionship to our amazing members.

You'll help with fun activities, share conversations, offer a listening ear, and support our team in creating a lively, supportive space where everyone feels valued. Whether it's joining in with games, lending a hand with refreshments, or simply brightening someone's day, your presence will truly matter.

What skills do I need?

No formal qualifications are needed - just a kind heart and a willingness to get involved! We're looking for volunteers who are:

• Friendly and patient, and enjoy chatting with people.
• Good listeners who can offer companionship and support.
• Reliable and happy to work as part of a team.
• Comfortable helping with light tasks (like serving refreshments or setting up activities).
• Open to learning more about supporting older people and those living with dementia.

Experience working with older people or in a caring role is helpful, but not essential – full guidance and support will be given.

You'll gain:
