We are looking for a volunteer to work within the Frontline Partnership team, specifically at THE GATES.
The Gates is a not-for-profit horticultural venture that offers local citizens, including people with a learning disability, an opportunity to develop new skills within the local community. It is situated in a tranquil setting at the rear of Brentwood Borough Council’s London Road cemetery and includes beds, greenhouses and a sensory woodland walk.
The aim is to promote independence, choice and inclusion in a safe and
supportive environment, involving participants, staff and volunteers in a wide
range of activities including horticulture, safe garden management, art and
craft workshops, bee keeping and sale of produce in local outlets.
We are open on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9.30am until 3pm and
require volunteers to work when they can within this time.
