Trustee Board Members

The Maldon District has a rich and varied voluntary sector working across the district to provide support, information and advice to local residents. Groups within the sector range from small volunteer run lunch clubs to organisations with million pound turnovers. Within this diversity there is one thing in common. They are all run by local people giving up their time as trustees.

Trustees are the backbone of every charity and community organisation, they are people with business skills and knowledge who support a charity\'s aims by sharing their time and expertise to help. This could be helping to oversee a charity\'s finances, accounting and reporting requirements, helping to recruit staff, managing organisational policies, supporting business planning and implementation of plans or leading on fundraising.

Board meetings for the CVS are bi-monthly in the evening. Trustees are requested to take on additional tasks outside of meetings such as reviewing policies, paperwork etc. These can be done at a flexible time to suit the volunteer.
