Trustee Board Members

The Maldon District has a rich and varied voluntary sector working across the district to provide support, information and advice to local residents. Groups within the sector range from small volunteer run lunch clubs to organisations with million pound turnovers. Within this diversity there is one thing in common. They are all run by local people giving up their time as trustees.

As a trustee of MDCVS, you will play a vital role in guiding the charity's strategic direction, ensuring it fulfills its mission to support the voluntary sector and local communities. Trustees are the backbone of the organisation, offering their expertise and time to help MDCVS thrive.

We are looking for people with a range of skills from local knowledge, voluntary sector expertise or business management skills such as finance and HR. 

Board meetings for the CVS are bi-monthly in the evening. Trustees can sometimes requested to take on additional tasks outside of meetings such as reviewing policies, paperwork etc. These can be done at a flexible time to suit the volunteer.

What skills do I need?

• Commitment to MDCVS’s mission and values
• Knowledge of the Maldon District and surrounding area
• Strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of governance, finance, or the voluntary sector (desirable but not essential).
• Willingness to dedicate time and energy to the role.
