PR Officer

Help raise the profile of our Emergency Medical Charity as we approach our 50th anniversary and support us in saving lives across Essex.

In 2023, BASICS Essex – the Essex Emergency Medical Charity – will have been supporting volunteer doctors and paramedics for 50 years across the county providing advanced immediate care for those with life-threatening injuries or illnesses. The charity is activated by the ambulance service and last year responded over 110 times.

This role will lead the raising of our profile across the county and plan for our 50th year celebrations.

• Raise our charities profile across the county of Essex.
• Plan our publicity strategies and campaign, especially for our 50th year.
• Lead regular social media and other medium campaign content.
• Ensure the charity has regular publicity in its role.
• Speak publicity about the scheme's work.

Your support will lead to the improvement of our charity's reach across the county, allowing us to grow through improved fundraising and acknowledgement of our volunteer's lifesaving work.

What skills do I need?

We are looking for someone who has previous, professional experience in public relations. You will have planned strategies and campaigns, and raised the profile of an organisation through public engagement and social media.
