Spring Spectacular Event Volunteer

Join The Way Forward team as we deliver our Spring Spectacular on Saturday 2 May. This is a community event designed to bring together creativity, nature, sport and good old-fashioned fun. Volunteers will support a range of activities on the day, helping to create a warm, welcoming experience for families and visitors.

Volunteers will be placed according to interest, confidence and availability. All roles contribute to the smooth running of the event and the positive experience of our guests.

Roles may include:

•  Assisting in the community café
•  Supporting or judging our bake-off competition 
•  Guiding visitors at the flower arranging station  
•  Assisting with stream dipping along our Ecologist-in-Residence
• Helping coordinate 5-a-side football games
• Hosting craft tables
• Helping run an archery activity

What skills do I need?

We welcome volunteers of all backgrouds. No formal qualifications are required.

Helpful qualities include:

• a friendly, approachable manner
• willingness to support families, children and visitors
• ability to follow guidance from TWF staff and activity Volunteer Leads
• reliability and good time-keeping
• confidence and working as part of a team
• for some roles, e.g. archery support, stream dipping, comfort with outdoor activities is beneficial

Training, briefing and support will be provided on the day.
