Stables Volunteer

We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic individuals to support the stables team with the care of the resident horses at Audley End and engage with the visitors to enhance their experience

This role assists the Stables Team with the care of the resident horses and includes a range of tasks that include:

• Some manual handling
• Dealing with visitor queries about the site, the stables and the horses
• Ensuring site presentation standards are met in the stable yard
• Assisting the events team in running events associated with the stables.

Depending on personal experience this role can include grooming, tack cleaning, mucking out, exercising and training the horses (having been assessed by the Stables Manager).

This a predominately outdoor based role.

What skills do I need?

Current horse handling skills preferred

Physically fit and able to undertake all stable duties when required

Morning shifts from 08.30 -12.30

Afternoon shifts 13.30 -17.00.
