An Accredited museum and award winning visitor attraction, Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome is a charity and the largest surviving Great War aerodrome in Europe.

With the assistance of over 100 volunteers, we deliver a wide range of educational and fundraising events each year that are designed to appeal to families, aviation enthusiasts, historians, school parties and other youth groups. 

We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic people to engage with our visitors and bring to life the history and the people that lived and worked here over 100 years ago.

Full training is provided for this role.

As part of the training you will start by working alongside other volunteers to learn about our history,  people and the exhibits and exhibitions that tell their stories.

For this role as you will need to conduct a 30 minute walking tour around our accessible site

Availability Details

The site is open to the public on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays when our Tour Guides provide 30 min tours at intervals throughout the day. Volunteers are asked to attend regularly. Half day and full day working is available. Please note that you will need to have personal transport for travel to site as we are not on public transport routes.
