Sanctus is a lifeline for the vulnerable and homeless in the city of Chelmsford via the provision of a day centre which has operated for 11 years. We provide a shelter from the cold with the aim of preventing loneliness for a vulnerable group within the community.
We offer a safe and warm space to eat and be around others. We provide daily hot meals, hot and cold drinks, food and clothes. Our Hub extends those services through counselling and a wide range of training and support services. We offer the help and support to get people back on their feet and to make positive steps forward.
We are looking to recruit additional Trustees to join our friendly and proactive Board.
Ideally candidates would have experience of one of the following; Finance, HR.
We will also welcome those with charity sector experience.
We are also keen to improve the diversity on our Board, to both reflect and align with our very diverse service user demographic.
Any trustee will be welcomed into a team that is focused on achieving the most outcomes for the funds available. Those who we feel may be a potential good fit will have an informal initial call with our CEO or Chair prior to a more formal interview with the Board of Trustees.

Meetings take place in person in the evening, on the 3rd or 4th Thursday of the month. There is some expectation to support one of our charity events during the year, to be responsive to any urgent emails and to champion a specific area of our work/manager responsible for that area.
