Role Description:
Hamelin are looking for a volunteer to support a small group to motivate, inspire and encourage autistic adults and people with learning disabilities, to explore their creativity in a weekly art group.
The type of art work can be flexible depending on the volunteer's experience and interest. Led by the volunteer, the group will work towards creating art work for an art exhibition (likely to be in September/October 2026).
The volunteer must have a background in art or have relevant creative skills. This role could be ideal for someone looking to gain some practical teaching experience.
The volunteer will be required every Tuesday, between 09.00am and 15.00pm, however half days will be considered.
Volunteers must be 18 years and older.
Volunteers will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, receive training, regular support and supervision, and celebratory social events. Expenses will also be reimbursed.
The volunteer must have a background in art or have relevant creative skills.
Open to people from all backgrounds.
