Café and Events Volunteer at JubiLatte Café at St John’s Church. Moulsham

Background:

JubiLatte is a welcoming and warm café space dedicated to serving the local community in Moulsham and Chelmsford. All of our tea and coffee is Fairtrade and we operate on as eco-friendly a basis as we can. We keep our prices at the lower end of the scale and are happy for people to make one drink last all morning if they want to. (And if they don’t want to buy anything, that’s fine too!) We have a children’s area and toys for babies and toddlers, as well as snacks for little ones,regular Scrabble and Café Crafting mornings, magazines, games and a café library. Most importantly, as well as great teas and coffees and cakes, there is always someone to chat to.

The café volunteer team also support our regular events, such as the summer Green Fair and winter

Christmas Fair, as well as other one off events such as Heritage Open Day.

The Role:

We are seeking some friendly and sociable individuals to join our small team of Café volunteers.

Regular jobs that require carrying out during café hours on a Monday and Thursday morning are:

· Preparing the café area

· Setting up the kitchen

· Serving customers (our menu consists of hot and cold drinks, toasted items, homemade

cakes and biscuits)

· Engaging with customers of all ages and backgrounds with patience and a smile!

What skills do I need?

No prior skills are necessary for the role, but we would welcome applications from individuals with customer service experience. Training is provided as part of the induction process.
