Event's Support Volunteer

To assist at our planned and ad hoc events throughout the year, duties to include:

• Help set up and pack down at events (table, stands, display board, leaflets)
• Welcome visitors and give relevant leaflets
• Help promote the charity and projects within CVS Tendring
• Support staff to ensure events run smoothly
• Represent CVST in a friendly and professional manner

Events may be inside or outside and include:

• Charity network days
• Christmas Market
• Community fairs and open days
• Volunteer recruitment events
• Wellbeing and Health events

What skills do I need?

No previous experience requires, training and support will be given, personal skills include

Communication and People Skills

• Friendly and Approachable
• Able to confidently talk to members of the public
• Good listening skills

Teamwork

• Work well with staff and other volunteers
• Willing to follow instructions and support others

Practical Skills

• Able to help with basic physical tasks (setting up tables, moving boxes)
• Register details, give out leaflets and other admin

Personal Qualities

• Positive and helpful attitude
• Respectful to people from all backgrounds
• Calm and adaptable in a busy environment
