  • To ensure compliance with relevant Food Hygiene, Health & Safety and other standards applicable to storing and transporting food
  • To safely and effectively transport food from partner locations relevant food safety and hygiene regulations are adhered to, ensuring food arrives in good condition
  • To facilitate effective record-keeping
  • To undertake basic training in Food Hygiene and Health & Safety as required
  • To carry out any other duties that may reasonably be required in support of the main purpose of the role

This role will take place across various locations in Thurrock.

What skills do I need?

  • Full and clean UK driving licence
  • Use of own car
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Experience of working or volunteering in a similar role, preferably in food distribution
  • Able to follow procedures and work in a team, and to deadlines
  • An awareness of safety issues especially when driving, loading and unloading vehicles
  • Flexibility towards working hour
