ABOUT US:
Ongar and Villages Voluntary Care are a caring group of volunteers aiming to relieve situations of need by coming to the aid of people in Ongar and the surrounding villages that are served by Ongar Doctors. We transport on average 10 clients to appointments each week.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
Volunteers who have their own car to join a team of volunteer drivers who can drive frail clients to mainly medical appointments ensuring that they have a safe reliable journey and keeping them company while they are waiting to see the doctor. Most journeys are to local hospitals and the local surgery.
Full driving licence needed.
Caring person who is kind to frail clients and can be relied on.
All agreed expenses are met, including mileage at 45 per mile and 5p per passenger.
Access to a car or owner.
