Empowering Parents Empowering Communities (EPEC) Group Leader

Parent Group Leader will train parents within their community to have a better understanding of positive parenting, understanding children’s feelings and build stronger relationships.

Tasks and responsibilities

·         Volunteers will receive a high standard of free training and support from their local EPEC team to deliver an EPEC parenting group within their community.

·         Assist to deliver a local EPEC parenting group with a co-facilitator.

·         Assist with leading practical, caring groups for local parents.

·         Share tried and tested methods that give children the best start in life.

·         Join a group of like minded parents to make a difference to their local community.

What skills do I need?

• Experience around caring, mentoring and supporting young children.
• Motivated to support families in their local community and passionate to learn and share their skills.
• Be willing to undertake training to gain experience to support local parents within their volunteer role.
