Volunteer Opportunity: Lead a Life Skills Workshop in Colchester

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to deliver a 1‑hour Life Skills workshop for aged 11-24 years old as part of our 6‑week programme based at our Trinity Street building in Colchester (although the sessions will be streamlined to being age appropriate). Each volunteer will run one workshop within the block, sharing a practical skill that helps build confidence and independence in everyday life.

Workshops can cover a wide range of topics — for example:

• Wiring a plug or basic household tasks

• Understanding bills, budgeting, and money management

• Healthy relationships and communication

• Job applications, CV writing, or interview skills

• Cooking simple meals (kitchen available)

• Physical wellbeing or teamwork activities (sports hall available)

You don’t need to be a professional teacher — just someone willing to share a useful skill in an engaging, hands‑on way. We’ll support you with planning and logistics so you can focus on delivering a meaningful session.
