Part-Time Volunteer Operations & Administrative Support – Kinetix CIC

Kinetix CIC are looking for a friendly, reliable, and community-minded volunteer to support our onsite provision, intervention programmes, events, and community activities across Essex.

Based in Witham, Essex, with some flexible home working available after training has been completed, this role helps support the day-to-day running of Kinetix and the positive opportunities we provide for young people, families, and local communities. Most support is needed during weekday business hours, with a flexible and supportive approach to volunteering.

This role would suit someone who enjoys being organised, communicating with people, and helping things run smoothly behind the scenes. We are looking for someone who can work independently, use initiative, and become a valued part of the Kinetix team.

What skills do I need?

Main Responsibilities

• Responding to email, telephone, social media, and face-to-face enquiries

• Answering and returning phone calls professionally

• Maintaining organised records and completed enquiries

• Assisting with invoicing, merchandise, and clothing order tracking

• Helping maintain a welcoming and organised environment at the Kinetix base

• Supporting general administration and operational tasks as required

Skills & Qualities

• Friendly, approachable, and organised

• Good communication skills and confidence speaking with people

• Able to work independently and use initiative

• Reliable, proactive, and professional

• Comfortable supporting administrative and operational tasks

• Ideal experience using TeamUp or CRM systems

• Awareness of safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional boundaries

• A positive attitude, willingness to have fun, and passion for making a difference to young people, families, and those who need support

Training and guidance relating to safeguarding, Health & Safety, and role responsibilities will be provided, and our team will support you throughout your volunteering journey.

• An enhanced DBS check is required for this role. If applicants are not registered with the DBS Update Service, a DBS check will be completed as part of the onboarding process.
