We are building our team of volunteers to help run the activities at our Scout Group.
We rely on people like you playing their part to give young people the opportunities they need. But volunteering’s not just about giving something back. It’s also about doing something that’s good for you.
There are great opportunities for adults in Scouts. Volunteering is fun, it improves your wellbeing, gives you career-boosting skills and helps you make connections with friends, family and your local community. You'll have the chance to try new things, develop existing interests and have fun while inspiring the young people.
Everyone has something to offer Scouting, whatever their age or ability. Whether you are in the thick of activities with a group of young people or working behind the scenes in a trustee or support role, there are lots of ways to get involved. You can do this weekly, biweekly, once a month etc. or as it suits you.
You don't need to have previous experience in Scouting, just energy and enthusiasm. We can match your existing skills with the right role and help you to develop new skills.
All of our adult volunteers receive full induction and ongoing training and support. Our training has been recognised with a National Training Award by UK Skills and over 90% of our volunteers believe that the skills and experiences they have gained through Scouting have been of relevance to their working or personal lives.
