We are looking for an organised and reliable Volunteer Secretary to join our committee and support the smooth running of our meetings and administration. This is a key role in helping our group stay coordinated and effective.

What you’ll do:

  • Take accurate notes and record actions during committee meetings.
  • Circulate agendas, minutes, and key information to committee members in good time.
  • Keep records of meetings, decisions, and group documents up to date and well organised.
  • Support the Chair in planning meetings and ensuring actions are followed up.
  • Maintain good communication between committee members.
  • Handle general correspondence on behalf of the committee when required.
  • Ensure the charity’s records are kept in line with legal requirements and best practice.

Getting started:

  • Committee meetings are held at Stifford Scout Hall, which you’ll need to attend.
  • A DBS check and completion of online safeguarding training are required before starting the role.
  • You’ll be fully supported by the Chair and other committee members as you settle into the role.
