Volunteer – Ecommerce Lister

We’re looking for enthusiastic and detail-oriented volunteers to join our Ecommerce Team 

and help list and sell items on platforms such as Vinted, Etsy, eBay, and TikTok Shop. This 

is a great opportunity to gain valuable office-based experience, contribute to a meaningful 

cause, and boost your CV.

Main duties of this role may include any of the following:

• Sort, research, and price donated items for online sale

• Create engaging product listings on platforms such as Vinted, Etsy, eBay, and 

TikTok, liaising with staff to ensure compliance with associated regulations and 

St Helena policies

• Photograph and write descriptions for items, ensuring accuracy and appeal In 

line with St Helena branding

• Monitor listings and help with order fulfilment

• Track sales and help with stock management

• Be aware of ecommerce trends and platform best practices

• Understand the importance of confidentiality and adhere to all data protection

regulations

• Represent St Helena Hospice in a positive and professional manner in line with

hospice Values

What skills do I need?

Training & supervision

• Valuable office-based work experience in digital retail and ecommerce

• Hands-on training with major online platforms

• Experience in photography and content writing

• A reference for your CV and future job applications

• Confidence and skills that are transferable across many industries

• The opportunity to make a difference and support our charitable work

• Regular supervision with dedicated line manager

Experience & qualifications required

• Interest in online selling, fashion, vintage items, or social media

• Basic computer literacy and good attention to detail

• Creativity and a good eye for presentation and photography

• Ability to work independently and as part of a small, friendly team

• Prior experience with any of the platforms is helpful but not essential – full 

training will be given
