Sports Activity Volunteers - Swimming Helper

Peaceful Place is a day centre for people of working age and older living with dementia.

We are looking for volunteers to help our staff and assist our members in swimming sessions at Eversley Leisure Centre on Wednesdays each week.

The duty of this role is to help our members take part in the swimming session by assisting them in the changing room and pool and join in the activity under the guidance of our members of staff.

You will:

• Be given full training
• Enjoy the opportunity to work as part of a team
• Meet people and make new friends
• Be helping your local community

A DBS check is required for this role.

What skills do I need?

You will need to be able to swim.

You will need to have a kind, caring and patient nature.

You will need to have excellent observational skills.

You will need to be empathetic towards our members.
