Tour Guide

We are looking for a tour guide who is passionate about the history, culture, and landmarks of St. Osyth and

willing to learn the history and heritage of these buildings and monuments. Someone who will be able to

provide meaningful experiences for visitors by engaging and educating them about the area.

The duties and responsibilities of a Tour Guide include:

· Leading groups on tours of St. Osyth Priory.

· Providing educational and interesting facts about the Priory and wider historical context.

· Ensuring the safety of the group at all times and following our Risk Assessments.

· Answering questions and engaging with visitors to provide an interactive experience

· Dealing with emergencies and unexpected situations as part of a team.

What skills do I need?

· A willingness to learn and work as part of a team.

· A willingness to support the aims of objectives of St. Osyth Priory and Parish Trust.

· Respectful and diligent.

· A personable manner and good people skills.

· Keep to agreed working days and times and be punctual.

· An interest in local history and heritage.

· A willingness to follow the Risk Assessments provided and work with staff in a dynamic way to

ensure the safety of all visitors and users of the site.
