Trustee-Marketing

Riverview Charitable Trust is looking for motivated and passionate people to join the Board of Trustees to support the overall governance, strategic direction and monitoring of the charity. Located in Purfleet-on-Thames, we run community-based programmes which address education, safety, health and wellbeing. Specialising in working with families, children and young people, our desire is to provide opportunities for local people experiencing disadvantage to improve their lives through social and personal development by providing a place of support and learning where social interaction and relationship skills are developed alongside tolerance and appreciation of other cultures for the betterment of the whole community.

We are seeking a trustee with the knowledge and skills to take on the role of Board Marketing Lead.

What skills do I need?

A marketing trustee needs a combination of strategic marketing skills and the ability to apply them to a non-profit context.

Essential

• Experience in marketing, communications, PR, or business development
• Ability to manage brand integrity, identify reputational risks, and ensure ethical standards are met

Desirable

• Experience of the application of marketing strategy to charitable/not-for-profit organisations
• Experience of the strategic use of social media as effective communication mechanisms to support services and activities
• Understanding how to use marketing to drive income generation, donor engagement, and fundraising campaigns
